Announcement

Have you ever heard of Polybius? It’s an urban legend about an arcade game that supposedly drove its players insane, or brainwashed them, or something, created by the FBI, or aliens, or someone. It more than likely never existed, but if it did hopefully it would be of higher quality than tonight’s film, 1993's ARCADE, starring Megan Ward (who you might remember from Encino Man), Peter Billingsley (who you definitely remember from A Christmas Story) and Seth Green (from, well, being Seth Green). It’s about an evil video game cleverly named Arcade, and I swear I already had this picked out before I saw who wrote it (David S. Goyer, who has written some of the best and some of the worst comic book screen and teleplays of the last couple decades) and who directed it, who is none other than Vicious Lips’ director Albert Pyun (who also directed Cyborg and Captain America, making this his fourth appearance in BMT). It’s available for rent on Amazon for like $3. See you at 6:30!

However, it soon becomes clear that the teenagers who lose are being imprisoned inside the virtual reality world by the central villain "Arcade" and takes over their minds.
