Bratz (2007)
Announcement
Last week we had a couple of wonderful movies made for children. This week we will focus on slightly older kids-- Tweens. Remember Bratz? They were sort of like slutty versions of Barbie's sister Skipper. I'm not even going to get into the craziness surrounding the dolls and the company that makes them-- there is an extensive Controveries section on the Bratz Wikipedia page -- the thing that concerns us is that they made a movie in 2007 that is apparently completely insane. The cast includes not one but two actors from Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (Jon Voight and Skyler Shaye, who it turns out is his goddaughter, which explains why she was in so many different projects with Voight) and no one else that you've heard of. Let's get ready for some Bratitude (which is the title of one of the songs in the movie. Seriously.) tonight at 6:30!
Description
The popular Bratz dolls come to life in their first live-action feature film. Finding themselves being pulled further and further apart, the fashionable four band together to fight peer pressure, learn what it means to stand up for your friends, be true to oneself and live out your dreams.
