We’re nearing the end of the Shitty MCU! Tonight we have a film about a character who has already died in her first appearance. We have a star who only participated in the film because she was contractually obligated to. We have one of the very first superhero movies with a female lead (and just in time for International Women’s Day, too!). Tonight we have Elektra, starring Jennifer Garner (who did not want to make this movie), Terrance Stamp and Goran Višnjić (remember him? From ER?). From the director of Reign of Fire (another movie that we might watch sometime) we have 2005's ELEKTRA, which is available for rent in the usual places. As usual, do not rent the Director’s Cut. 6:30 tonight!
Description
Elektra the warrior survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin-for-hire, and tries to protect her two latest targets, a single father and his young daughter, from a group of supernatural assassins.
