End Of Days (1999)
Announcement
I know I start a lot of these descriptions with what boils down to their elevator pitch, but sometimes it’s just the best way to describe the movie. So. What do you get when you combine Y2K, The DaVinci Code and the Omen? You get the 1999 shitshow END OF DAYS, inexplicably starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Pollack (who I think was in every movie in the 90s), Gabriel Byrne (because if you’ve got priests and Satan, I mean, he was basically always there), written by the guy who wrote Air Force One and directed by the guy who directed Time Cop. It was nominated for three Razzie awards and according to esteemed film critic Mark Kermode, this movie is “idiotic beyond the point of redemption, this sinfully stupid farrago manages to insult audiences and critics, Christians and Satanists alike…“. It’s available for rent on Amazon and the usual places. See you for the end of the world at 6:30!
Description
On 28 December 1999, the citizens of New York City are getting ready for the turn of the millennium. However, Satan decides to crash the party by coming to the city and searching for his chosen bride — a 20-year-old woman named Christine York. The world will end, and the only hope lies within an atheist named Jericho Cane.
