If there was ever an actor for the Shitty MCU, it would be Nicolas Cage. He’s a big comic book fan (even his stage name comes from Luke Cage) and for a while he was attached to every single comic adaptation, I swear. Ever see him do a costume test to play Superman? And so, in the spirit (pun not intended) of the Shitty MCU, I present to you 2007's GHOST RIDER, starring Mr Cage as the titular character, and co-starring Eva Mendes, Sam Elliot, Wes Bentley and some really terrible CGI. Description
In order to save his dying father, young stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze sells his soul to Mephistopheles and sadly parts from the pure-hearted Roxanne Simpson, the love of his life. Years later, Johnny's path crosses again with Roxanne, now a go-getting reporter, and also with Mephistopheles, who offers to release Johnny's soul if Johnny becomes the fabled, fiery 'Ghost Rider'.
