Hands Of Steel (1986)

I've been sitting here trying to figure out an entertaining way to describe tonight's movie HANDS OF STEEL, which came out in 1986 and was an Italian production (which should tell you all you need to know about it). It somehow seems to be a ripoff of the Terminator AND Over the Top (which didn't come out until 1987-- why was arm wrestling such a thing in the mid 80s?), plus it takes place in Arizona of all places? So many head scratchers. Other things of note about this movie: the score was composed by Claudio SImonetti of the band Goblin, who are fucking awesome and did the scores for a lot of Italian horror movies, so I expect it to be legit. One of the actors in the movie died when his helicopter crashed into the Navajo Bridge in the Grand Canyon during filming. Finally, it features actor John Saxon, who was in a million movies as varied as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Enter the Dragon and the original A Star Is Born. This should be a trip.
