Now, Highlander left a lot of unanswered questions. How come there are immortals in the first place? How do they feel about the ozone layer? Wouldn’t have Highlander have been better if there were aliens? All of these questions and many more that you never bothered to ask and have no interest in being answered will be resolved tonight, in a film that for some reason wasn’t streaming a couple weeks ago but is now on Prime, a film that again stars Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and future Academy award winner Virginia Madsen, may I present what I remember from my teenage years as the worst movie I had ever seen, a film so bad that the multiple sequels and the TV show completely disregarded, HIGHLANDER II: The Quickening! It’s gonna be bad, I’m just sayin’. Tonight at 6:30. Be there or beheaded!
Description
In the year 2024, the ozone layer is believed to have been destroyed, and it's up to MacLeod and Ramirez to set things right. Opposition comes from both the planet Zeist (MacLeod and Ramirez's homeworld) and a corporation profiting from the supposed lack of ozone. Also, flashbacks show the story behind MacLeod and Ramirez's exile from Zeist.
