What happens when you take the celebrated British director Peter Yates (who directed the classic Steve McQueen film BULLITT) and try and get him to make a Star Wars ripoff? But wait, it also needs to be a ripoff of Excaliber. Well, it seems that they closed their eyes and hoped for a critically acclaimed blockbuster. Instead of that happening, we got KRULL, starring nobody you’ve ever heard of in the leading roles, and Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane in small roles early in their career. Tonight, we get magic and lasers and cyclopses and just basically everything the early 80s had to offer (and it was recommended by @Nick He/Him ages ago). It’s available for rent on Amazon for $3.
