So, we all know that Pierce Brosnan was supposed to be James Bond after Roger Moore (I mean, we do, right?) but was forced contractually to return to the TV show Remington Steele. It completely derailed his career until he finally got the Bond role in 1995 in Goldeneye. Brosnan made some very questionable choices (for every Mrs. Doubfire there was a Lawnmower Man or Death Train). And then there’s 1992's LIVE WIRE. Brosnan plays a bomb disposal expert trying to figure out why people keep blowing up. I’ll give you a hint: the culprit is so, so much stupider than you’d expect. The film also stars Ron Silver and an actor whose real name (I looked it up) is Clement von Franckenstein. It’s available for rent on Amazon and the usual other places. Description
