What if the Goonies was written by Shane Black? And was a little pervier? And maybe leaned more into monsters? And put a lot of thought into whether or not the Wolfman had nards? Since we’ve watched some real stinkers, II figure it’s time for a movie with plot, structure and nostalgia-- tonight we’re going to watch one of my favorite movies as a kid (and I still love it) and have some fun for Halloween-- we will be watching the one, the only….MONSTER SQUAD! It’s streaming for free on Prime and I can’t wait to watch it for the 156th (or whatever) time. 6:30 tonight!
Description
Count Dracula adjourns to Earth, accompanied by Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and the Gillman. The uglies are in search of a powerful amulet that will grant them power to rule the world. Our heroes - the Monster Squad are the only ones daring to stand in their way.
