Announcement

Well, I've got some bad news, some good news and some great news. The bad news first: the film we were going to watch on Sunday apparently has a sexual assault in it, so that's out. The good news is, I had another one ready to go that I'm also very excited to watch, and it is apparently a doozy. The great news is, BMT is growing! Hannah and Ro moved to the UK and due to the time difference can't join us on Sundays, so we have a new weekly edition at a more reasonable time for them. So may I present BMT/GMT every Tuesday at 11am Pacific/7pm GMT! Just to keep things interesting, this version of BMT will be uncensored-- movies may contain content that I wouldn't allow for our normal screenings (like sexual assault, for instance), so please bear that in mind if you plan to join us (and you are all welcome if you're free). Okay, that being said, let's talk about this week's pick! It's called POTTERSVILLE, it's from 2017, was made with a grant for filmmakers to shoot movies in upstate New York and it has an absolutely stellar cast: Michael Shannon, Christina Hendricks, Ron Pearlman (and his daughter Blake too!), Thomas Lennon, Judy Greer, Ian McShane-- just a crazy group of actors to appear in this movie that I honestly don't want to tell you anything about because it's so insane. Just know that it's ostensibly a Christmas movie and is supposed to be heartwarming (I think?) I've got it available for your downloading pleasure, so as usual please try and have it ready to go before this Sunday night at 6:30! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H1fnowUE8uW7pLjibqOKpVEQE0XeFWyE/view?usp=drive_link

Description

Maynard, a beloved local businessman is mistaken for the legendary Bigfoot during an inebriated romp through town in a makeshift gorilla costume. The sightings set off an international Bigfoot media spectacle and a windfall of tourism dollars for a simple American town hit by hard times. When Brock Masterson, reality TV’s “Monster Hunter,” arrives to hunt the beast, Maynard agonizes over whether to come clean, destroying the rebirth of his beloved town, or perpetuate the inadvertent hoax.
