Prayer Of The Rollerboys (1990)
Announcement
When i was a teenager I worked at a summer camp in northern Wisconsin. The staff all stayed in cabins, and some of us had tvs and VCRs. There was one guy who had brought a lot of movies with him, and so I got to have entertainment in the evenings rather than, I dunno, reading a book or whatever. This was a formative summer in my life, because I think it was the first time I really began to appreciate how hilarious bad movies were. I can only remember two of the movies I saw that summer, one was the Dolph Lundgren Punisher (which we watched last year), Iron Eagle II...and the other was a movie that I was never able to find again. UNTIL NOW. Thanks to @Toledo "Pete" Salamanca (He/Him) we will be watching that movie, 1990's PRAYER OF THE ROLLERBOYS, starring Corey Haim (who I already knew, of course) and Patricia Arquette (who I forever associate with this movie), plus that dynamic duo of a dystopian future and copious use of Rollerblades. It also amazingly features what must be the first use of a Nine Inch Nails song in a movie - Pretty Hate Machine had come out very close to when this movie was being filmed, so someone was really on it! I haven't seen this movie in...JFC...like thirty years (can that POSSIBLY be right?!) but I'm confident in both its watchability and terribleness. I've seriously been trying to find it for YEARS but it ended up surprisingly being more obscure than I thought. Anyhoo, I hope you will enjoy this piece of my childhood. See ya tonight! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bLYhdOp7JwLHuENvNhNN7y08gSXz1iDO/view?usp=drive_link PS: I've upgraded the BMT server so it now lives online, which means it should work for everyone! I don't have it configured for easy use yet, but will by next week. This is ALSO thanks to Pete. Thanks Pete!
