Announcement

We've talked about hit or miss directors a lot in the past. John Frankenheimer, for instance-- he made The Manchurian Candidate (the original one), but he also made Reindeer Games. Or Irving Kirshner, who made both the Empire Strikes Back, but also made Robocop 3. And then there's Bob Clark, who made one of the most beloved movies ever made, A Christmas Story (I mean, who doesn't like A Christmas Story?), but also made Baby Geniuses, and also tonight's movie (which was his final film), one I've had in my pocket for a while now, 2004's SUPERBABIES: BABY GENIUSES 2, which is absolutely considered one of the worst movies in the history of the medium, that has sat at 0% on Rotten Tomatoes for decades now. The invaluable Nathan Rabin wrote, "Some children’s movies are so gimmicky and pandering that they accidentally border on avant-garde and surreal. That’s Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2. It’s less a conventional kiddie sequel than a Nazi-saturated, wildly inappropriate waking nightmare that singlehandedly set CGI back decades and brought out the incompetent amateur in a veteran filmmaker. Superbabies won’t entertain children or adults, but it will make you feel like you’re gradually sliding further and further into madness." Since we had yet another crazy week with Fionna (who is doing very well and is back to normal, btw!), who got skunked at 3:30 in the morning, and also due to other factors which certainly don't involve me putting things off until the last minute, you'll have to download this one before this evening if you can. Sorry for the late notice! But not sorry for the movie! (he says not having seen it himself). This is one that has to be viewed with VLC (it won't work on Quicktime). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uJNVd9xEDzlQFUbFewz8ETQApMglRfv_/view?usp=drive_link
