I'm not even sure where to start with tonight's movie. I wanted something light and fun, and I'm fairly confident that this will achieve both of those expectations. It features (amongst others) Don Henley, John Hiatt, Wyclef Jean, Elton John, Queen Latifah, Willie Nelson and Bonnie Raitt. Yes, it's about a band of country musicians, one that has broken up and needs to get back together for reasons. No, the band isn't comprised of any of these accomplished musicians, it is made up entirely of bears. Yes, bears. THE COUNTRY BEARS (2002) in fact. Based on the attraction at Disneyland, one that doesn't contain a story as to why there are bears playing country music. I guess we'll find out why they formed a legendary musical group. Oh, and no, the movie isn't animated. The bears are by the Jim Henson Workshop. Why haven't you heard of this movie before? Because it tanked at the box office, earning only $18m on a $35m budget. Ouch. Get your boot scootin' cowboy boots on because we're going to a jamboree! Tonight at 6:30!

Description

For Beary Barrington, The Country Bears' young #1 fan, fitting in with his all-too-human family is proving im-paws-ible. When he runs away to find Country Bear Hall and his heroes, he discovers the venue that made them famous is near foreclosure. Beary hightails it over the river and through the woods to get the Bears in the Band back together for an all-out reunion concert to save Country Bear Hall.
