The Unexpected Bar Mitzvah (2015)
Announcement
In the last few weeks, we've seen many terrifying things. We've seen bears running rampant singing country music, dinosaurs with guns running amuck solving crimes... and whatever the fuck Groom Lake was about. Tonight, however, we will experience the true face of horror: Donald James Parker. Remember him? I'll give you a hint: he was a Gramps who went to College. If you missed that movie, first of all shame on you, second of all, you're probably better off. Parker is an evangelical Christian writer and actor so fundamental that even God thinks he's too much. Tonight's movie mercifully relegates him to a supporting role, but leaves us with just heaping amounts of anti-semitism. I don't mean the "Jews control the media and also space lasers" kind of anti-semitism, more like "Everything bad that has happened to the Jewish people is because they haven't accepted Jesus as their lord and savior". Tonight's movie is called THE UNEXPECTED BAR MITZVAH (2015) and we heard about it on the God Awful Movies podcast, which reviews terrible Christian cinema and is highly recommended. It sounded so appalling that we just knew we needed to see it. As I was unable to find it on the internet (and Pete couldn't find it either) I ended up purchasing it on eBay and ripping it myself (as there was no way I going to give a dime to the filmmakers). Starring no people who are actually Jewish (and written by someone who knows fuck all about the people or the faith) this promises to be a trip. Sound terrible? You bet! See ya tonight at 6:30!
