Imagine you own the rights to an enormous franchise. Imagine that one of the characters in your franchise is a villain version of your main character, including the actual design of the character. And then imagine making a movie about this villain without mentioning the main character at all. Not even commenting on how your character is like an evil clone of him. You with me? Okay. No? I know, it makes no sense. Tonight we’ll be watching Venom, starring Tom Hardy and his perplexing accent, Michelle Williams, who seems to be wondering why she is there, and Riz Ahmed, who is woefully miscast. Description
Investigative journalist Eddie Brock attempts a comeback following a scandal, but accidentally becomes the host of Venom, a violent, super powerful alien symbiote. Soon, he must rely on his newfound powers to protect the world from a shadowy organization looking for a symbiote of their own.
